Captain Black Grape Review

Description: Captain Black Grape is an aromatic blend of Black Cavendish, Burley, Virginia

Strength: Mild to Medium

Flavor: Medium

Tin Note: Distinct and strong grape lollipop aroma. I was able to smell it even though the pouch I purchased was sealed.

Room Note: Distinct but very pleasant

Tasting Notes: There is a very smooth, light grape/fruit flavor throughout the entire bowl. It is very one note, but that is really what it is supposed to be. The strong lollipop grape tin note really fades once you start smoking it and it takes on a light grape/fruit taste. It is a little on the sweet side but not overly sweet or obnoxious.

Overall Opinion: I am not a big grape flavor fan. I hate grape soda and other artificial grape flavorings. Artificial grape flavor has a very medicinal taste to me - like cough medicine when I was a kid. So, I never would have expected to try, much less like a grape tobacco. To my surprise, I really like this. It is not something that I would smoke all the time but when I am looking for a lightly sweet change of pace I am going to fire this one up.
