Cornell & Diehl Mocha Review

Description: C&D's Mocha is an aromatic blend of Black Cavendish and Burley. It is flavored with espresso and dark chocolate.

Strength: Mild

Flavor: Mild

Tin Note: Pleasant dark chocolate aroma with a slight hint of whiskey.

Tasting Notes: In the tin the aroma is a rather strong dark chocolate. However, when smoked the pure dark chocolate flavor fades significantly. The flavor really takes on more of a coffee taste with a hint of dark or baking chocolate on the finish. It is not a sweet at all, but dark chocolate is not sweet to begin with. It is smooth and pleasant and actually pairs nicely with a cup of coffee. The tobacco burns evenly and generally burns throughout the entire bowl with minimal to no relighting. As with all C&D blends, the tobacco is very high quality.

Overall Opinion: This is an good mild tobacco with a nice coffee taste. There is minimal strength and provides a pleasant, mild smoke. Again, the flavors are mild and you need to concentrate to pull them out.
